Executive Board

President – Anita George

Anita is currently a senior from Doha, Qatar majoring in Economics and Environment, Sustainability and Policy, and Mathematics. Outside of ESA, she is working in an administration role under the International Student Success program in the College of Arts & Sciences as well as an active member of the business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. Her hobbies include making music, playing guitar, and working out. As President, Anita hopes to spread more awareness with regard to potential career goals that can be attained by applying economic expertise as well as encouraging similar professional interests.

Vice President – David Gabbay

David is a junior from San Francisco, California majoring in finance, business analytics and economics. He discovered his interest in economic policy during the 2012 election and has previously worked on public policy surveying and research at the municipal level.

He has been serving on the executive board for two years and is also a junior analyst at the Orange Value Fund. Some of his favorite pastimes include trying out new cuisines and exploring nature. As Vice President, David connects ESA with campus stakeholders to secure resources for events and programming. Always looking to improve, he is eager

Treasurer – Sarah Crocitto

Sarah is currently a junior from Wilton, Connecticut majoring in Economics. In addition to ESA, she is also an EMT at Syracuse University Ambulance, and a part of the SU club ski team. Some of her favorite pastimes are yoga and reading. As treasurer, Sarah creates budgets for events, alumni speaker expenses and merchandise, and hopes to inspire more people with an interest in economics to attend ESA meetings.

Head of Membership Development – Ashima Dhawan

Ashima is currently a senior from San Francisco, California studying Economics and Finance with an interest in pursuing law after graduation. In addition to serving on the executive board of ESA, she is also the DEI chair of Delta Gamma. As Head of Membership Development, Ashima aims to encourage those interested in economics to join ESA while also giving them the opportunity to connect with others in the organization. 

Social Media Director – Tracy Huang

Tracy is a junior from Brooklyn, New York majoring in International Relations and Economics along with a minor in Finance. Outside of ESA, she is serving on the University Conduct Board and she can be found competing in the Esports room weekly. Some of her hobbies include reading novels, listening to music, and watching anime. As Social Media Director, Tracy connects students with ESA resources and hopes to encourage more people to join the association. 

Event Logistics Chair – Ryan Scheiner

Ryan is currently a sophomore from Warren, New Jersey majoring in Economics and International Relations with a minor in Sport Management. On campus, he is a community engagement intern at Hillel, plays many different intramural sports with friends, and involved in social Greek life. Some of his hobbies include traveling around the world, baking, and playing sports. As Event Logistics Chair, Ryan schedules rooms and plans out the website, and hopes to encourage those to keep coming back to ESA by providing a friendly face.
